KASHISH 2016 Delegate Registration FAQs

Thank you for your interest in registering to attend 7th KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival that will take place from May 25 - 29, 2016 at Liberty Cinema. May 26 - 28, 2016 at Alliance Française de Bombay and May 26 - 28, 2016 at Max Mueller Bhavan. The theme for this year is '7 Shades Of Love'. 

Registrations are now open online for KASHISH 2016, and you can access the same at  https://www.instamojo.com/KASHISH_2016

Below you will find details that will answer most of your queries regarding registration.

ONLINE DELEGATE REGISTRATION CLOSES ON FRIDAY MAY 20, 2016 11.55pm    

·         Festival Dates and Venues: : KASHISH MIQFF 2016 will be held May 25-29, 2016 at Liberty Cinema (next to Bombay Hospital, New Marine Lines), May  26-28, 2016 at Alliance Française de Bombay (New Marine Lines) and May  26-28, 2016 at Max Mueller Bhavan (Kala Ghoda)

·         Timings:

Liberty Cinema:

May 25th - Begins 7.00 pm - Ends 12.15 am

May 26, 27, 28, 29th - Begins 9.30 am - Ends 12.15 am

Alliance Française de Bombay:

May 26, 27th - Begins 1.15 pm - Ends 8.15 pm

May 28th - Begins 10.00 am - Ends 8.15 pm

Max Mueller Bhavan:

May 26, 27, 28th - Begins 10.00 am - Ends 8.15 pm

·         Entry to festival venues: Festival Entry is for pre-registered Delegates ONLY who have filled out the Delegate Registration Form (online /offline) and obtained a Delegate Card. Entry at all the venues will be allowed only with a valid Delegate Card.

·         Minimum age: Delegates must be ABOVE 18 YEARS OF AGE on 1^st May 2016 to attend the festival screenings. Please carry a photo ID and age proof for verification.

·         Charges: A nominal fee has to be paid towards the Delegate Card and Festival Catalog. There are different options, please read through carefully:

a) 3-Venue Delegate Card valid at all the 3 venues for all days for all film screenings and panel discussions, including opening and closing night (except opening night party)

i) Rs. 500 - for general delegates that allows you to watch screenings at both the venues.  (Use Discount Code K16EBG till April 24^th to avail Rs.100 discount)

ii) Rs 300 - for students, senior citizens (60 years and above), Trans*, and for Alliance Française members who want to attend screenings at both venues. Proof would be required. (Use Discount Code K16EBS till April 24^th to avail Rs.60 discount)

b) One-Venue Delegate Card valid only for Alliance Francaise members who want to attend screening ONLY at Alliance Francaise

This is a FREE card.

There are no registration charges. However, they need to fill up the Registration form online or at Alliance Française. This One Venue Delegate Card is valid only for entry to AF screenings and not at Liberty Cinema and Max Mueller Bhavan.

b) Weekend Delegate Card

This year, delegates can opt for a Weekend Delegate Card that is valid for 2 days - Saturday and Sunday

Rs.300

The Weekend Delegate Card will be valid ONLY for May 28^th Saturday and May 29^th Sunday at Liberty Cinema, Alliance Francaise and Max Mueller Bhavan.

·         Online Registrations: You can register and pay online till FRIDAY, MAY 20, 2016 11.55 pm at:

Please check and use the option that works best for you. Please make sure you fill out all relevant information correctly, specially your valid email id.

Once you have registered online, you will receive a mail from Instamojo that your payment is successful.

Within a week KASHISH will send you a confirmation mail, with your Registration Number, at the email id you have used to fill the registration form.

·         Offline Registrations: You can fill out the off-line registration form and pay the fees by cash from Monday APRIL 11, 2016 till FRIDAY, MAY 20, 2016 8.00 pm at:

·         Spot Registration: If you missed the online registration, do not worry. Spot Registration will be available ONLY at Liberty Cinema from May 21^st  to May 29^th 2016

i)             Full Festival Delegate Card – General Delegates - Rs.600

ii)            Full Festival Delegate Card – Students/Trans*/AFB members - Rs.400

iii)           Weekend Delegate Card  - Saturday+Sunday – Rs.400

Timings of counter will be:

May 21-25^th Liberty Cinema – 2.00pm to 8.00pm

May 26-28^th Liberty Cinema – 9.00am to 8.00pm

May 29^th Liberty Cinema – 9.00am to 2.00pm

·         Collect your Delegate Card: Your delegate cards can be collected at the festival venue Liberty Cinema during these timings:

May 21-24^th Liberty Cinema – 2.00pm to 8.00pm (before the festival)
May 25^th Liberty Cinema – 2.00pm to 8.00pm

May 26-28^th Liberty Cinema – 9.00am to 8.00pm

May 29^th Liberty Cinema – 9.00am to 2.00pm
Please note Festival Catalog will not be available at the counter before the festival. 
It will be distributed on May 25th at the opening and then available at counter from May 26th onwards.

Please quote your Delegate ID number or show our earlier email with the code for collection.

·         First Come First Serve: Delegate Card does NOT guarantee seating which is strictly on a First Come, First Served basis. However we are confident that all our delegates will get seat as we have a bigger theatre with over 1,000 seats and three venues which are close by.

·         Exclusive Opening Night Party By Invite Only: Access to the KASHISH 2016 Red Carpet Opening Night Party is by invite only for festival guests and contributors.
